Drive cost savings with XMediusFAX

Save Big! Use Sagemcom’s XMediusFAX ROI calculator and discover how migrating from a traditional fax landscape to an XMediusFAX fax server solution can drive cost savings within your organization and deliver rapid return on your investment dollar!

Sagemcom’s XMediusFAX ROI calculator has been devised to assist users in performing cost comparisons associated to faxing with traditional fax machines versus XMediusFAX fax server based solutions. By simply inputting your company’s current specific faxing criteria (i.e., fixed costs, inbound and outbound volumes), you can determine approximate costs as well as derived savings when migrating to XMediusFAX.

Depending on your faxing volumes, the calculator will determine which of the XMediusFAX editions (Service Provider, Enterprise, Express, or AXP) is most suitable for your faxing requirements and perform the respective Return-On-Investment (ROI) analysis. As well, the ROI analysis can also be extended to system configurations that require redundancy and/or remote branch survivability as part of an organization’s faxing landscape.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The XMediusFAX ROI calculator is not a price configurator!

The XMediusFAX ROI calculator is a tool which provides approximations to a majority of different types of faxing criteria. It is not a price configurator! A matter of fax

It has been estimated that 100 billion fax pages are transmitted worldwide on a yearly basis. Organizations of all sizes within different industry verticals fax hundreds or thousands of invoices, purchase orders, and other confidential and legal documents. Fax continues to play a strategic and mission-critical role in the evolving communication landscape in which customers are migrating from traditional faxing to IP network implementations that build on the promise of Unified Communications.

Maintaining traditional single-purpose fax machines and paying for analog phone lines is expensive and inefficient. Long distance, electricity, toners, paper, and labor – walking to and from the fax machine, impose cost burdens on organizations who continue to rely on their traditional fax machines.

As the global leader in IP fax, Sagemcom’s XMediusFAX software-only fax server with T.38 FoIP technology provides a solid Return on Investment (ROI) via the following benefits:

  • Secure and rapid fax delivery
  • Easy to install, administer and use
  • Rapid ROI (typically 1 to 6 months)
  • Cost savings of at least 90% since manual faxing expenses (analog POTS lines, hardware consumables) are no longer required and long-distance fax charges are reduced through Least Cost Routing (LCR) functionality
  • Low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) due to XMediusFAX’s boardless technology
  • Improved productivity by 90% due to desktop faxing and fax broadcast capabilities
  • Unified messaging integration so faxes can share a common inbox with email and voicemail

If Redundancy is desired, a LAN optimized solution incorporating two centralized servers, each configured with the SP edition, are required. A synchronous replication method is used for primary-backup (master-slave) redundancy with a transparent failover mechanism. Built-in Active-Active redundancy provides the greatest fault tolerance and allows load balancing and floating channel licensing. This scheme supports the High Availability application used for co-located servers.

If fax survivability is required at the branch office, a configuration consisting of a centralized XMediusFAX SP edition (with or without redundancy) and remote disaster recovery (or branch survivable) site(s) comprised of the AXP edition within the Cisco ISR Series 2800 and 3800, will be required.

Specifically targeted for small to mid-size organizations and branch office deployments, the AXP edition allows branch offices to operate independently should a server failure occur at the headquarters or in times of a WAN outage.
